[Wannabe Writer] Making Tech Concepts Grandma-Friendly: Being a Tech Content Creator - Emanuele Bartolesi
Apparently, Einstein once said: "You haven't really understood something until you can explain it to your grandmother". That way, every concept may be perfectly clear to the speaker, but also accessible to the end listeners. With that in mind, content writing in tech has way more sense: overcoming barriers of a technical language helps tech and also non-tech people to grow and build a more conscious and safe environment. Trust me: being a tech content writer and creator will make you a better professional, and human. Join me on this session, and start growing your skills!
[Wannabe Speaker] The Marauder’s Map to Your First Great Talk - Serena Sensini

Epic Failures: lessons learned from developers
In the world of software development, things don't always go as planned. Every developer has at least one story of coding disasters or projects that took an unexpected turn. In this presentation, we will explore the most catastrophic moments experienced while coding, collecting post-its during the conference.
Here's how the session will be structured:
We will present the three worst incidents, involving three industry professionals, analyzing them to extract practical and valuable lessons that can help everyone avoid similar mistakes in the future.
During the conference, we will collect your failures and challenges through post-its, creating a collective pool of experiences to discuss together during the session.
Through a mix of humor, honesty, and critical reflection, we will turn these epic fails into opportunities for growth and learning for the entire tech community.
Session created in collaboration with GrUSP and GDG Milano
Tech Dating
Would you like to expand your network? Meet new people? Find a new partner for a project?
Join this Tech Dating session if you want to expand your network in the tech sector, share experiences and knowledge, or simply connect with other professionals who share your interests in a relaxed and dynamic environment.
How does it work?
The session will be organized with a limited group of people who will meet in 5-minute rounds. Each participant will have the opportunity to introduce themselves and ask questions to their partner (we've prepared some ready-made questions for you if you don't have any in mind).
At the end of each round, participants will change tables to meet new people. To close the session, you will pair up with some of the people you met and share what you learned about them.
Feel free to speak in English or Italian!
Community Manager Meetup
We all know the problems a community manager faces when organizing meetups and many other activities at the same time, and in this session, we will find solutions by working together.
Another important aspect is networking among community managers, which is really important, and at Codemotion, we want to foster these connections as much as possible, creating moments where we can learn from each other and share our experiences.
If you are a tech community manager, join us in the community lounge! Participate in this session where you will have the opportunity to:
Present your community and the activities you are carrying out.
Meet other community managers.
Share your needs and problems and work together to find a solution.
Who wants to be a Rock Star Developer?
The game is a technical quiz designed for developers, covering a wide range of topics including DevOps, backend, frontend, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. The format involves 5 or 6 contestants, selected either randomly or through a preliminary competition.
A host leads the event, asking a series of multiple-choice questions, some of which may include code snippets or images. The quiz consists of 15-20 questions, with a scoring system that awards one point for each correct answer and deducts one point for each incorrect one.
To make the game more dynamic and engaging, various help options are available, such as "Code Review" (asking the audience for support), "AI in 10 Characters" (a brief hint from an AI), "50/50," and "Pair Programming" (collaboration between contestants with the point split for both correct and incorrect answers).
To further involve the audience, there will be questions that the public can vote on.
Green Software Championship
Welcome to the quiz that will turn you into eco-friendly developers. Yes, you heard that right: we’re talking about how our beloved software impacts the environment and how we can code in a more sustainable way. In this interactive quiz, we’ll dive into the key concepts of green software and challenge you to think about how much energy we consume while developing and running our code.
Don’t worry—this isn’t a test, but an opportunity to learn. After each question, we’ll provide explanations and practical tips. The goal? To turn you into eco-conscious developers, capable of creating innovative solutions without harming our planet.
So, are you ready to find out how you can contribute to a greener digital future, one commit at a time? Remember: every optimized line of code is a small step for us, but a giant leap for the environment. Let’s code green!
The CTO Manifesto: A Community with a Purpose
The Codemotion CTO community has grown over time and is now a hub of ideas, experiences, and technological visions. However, to fully unlock this potential and enable real change, we feel the need to strengthen the bonds between its members, building a collaborative and cohesive ecosystem.
In this panel, we will share what we have envisioned, starting by defining common goals together, establishing guiding principles, and ultimately creating a "CTO Manifesto" that represents the community’s shared vision.
The goal is not only to make this community a reference point for all technology leaders, but also to promote a more modern culture, both in Italy and beyond, about how the role of the CTO is evolving and will continue to transform — and, most importantly, to understand together how the community can contribute to these changes.
